Before You Call

  • Do You Take My Insurance?

Most likely. I'm in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Florida Blue, Cigna/Evernorth, UnitedHealthcare, and Optum, Oscar Health, New Directions/Lucet, Medicare, and Medicaid. If your plan isn't on that list I can provide out-of-network billing assistance so you can claim it back.

  • How Much Is a Session Without Insurance?

$120 for individuals and for couples. There's also a free 15-minute consultation before you commit to anything.

  • Is It in Person or Online?

Online video, anywhere in Florida. Sessions run on Therapy Notes, a secure HIPAA platform you can use from a computer, tablet, or phone. Weekdays are available.

  • Do I Really Need Therapy? I Can Usually Handle My Problems.

Everyone works through hard stretches on their own, and you may well have managed others. Reaching for support when you want it isn't a failure of that - it usually means you've noticed something worth paying attention to.

  • What Is the First Session Like?

Mostly me listening. We'll cover what brought you here, what you'd like to be different, and whether I'm the right person for it. If I'm not, I'll say so, and help you find someone better suited.

  • What About Medication?

Therapy and medication aren't in competition, and for some people the combination works best. I'm not a prescriber, but I'll talk it through with you, and coordinate with your physician or a psychiatrist if that's useful.

  • Is What I Say Confidential?

Yes, with the narrow legal exceptions every Florida clinician is bound by. I'll walk you through exactly what those are in our first conversation so there are no surprises.
